"C" type Lifting Hook for Handling Colour-coated Steel Coils in Workshops

    The C-type hook (C-type sling) used to lift color-coated steel coils in factory workshops is a special lifting tool designed for coils (such as steel coils, aluminum coils, and paper coils). Its core feature is that it directly hooks the inner hole of the coil through the C-type opening structure to achieve efficient and non-destructive lifting operations.

Core design adapted to color-coated steel coils:
Anti-scratch protection
Material of the pad: rubber or polyurethane with a Shore hardness of 50-70, no scratches when in contact with the color-coated surface, and a high friction coefficient (≥0.6) to prevent the coil from sliding;
Contact area: pad width ≥100mm, disperse pressure (pressure per unit area ≤0.1MPa), to prevent the color coating from peeling off due to local pressure.
Balance and stability
Alignment of gravity center: The center of the C-type hook's ear coincides with the hook body's load-bearing center (coil gravity center), and the coil remains horizontal during hoisting to avoid tilting and sliding;
Anti-unhooking design: Some C-type hooks are equipped with elastic blocks or locks at the opening to prevent the coil from falling out due to vibration or emergency stop during hoisting.
Lightweight and high strength
The hook body adopts equal strength design (thickening of stress-bearing parts and thinning of non-stress-bearing parts), which is 15%-20% lighter than the traditional C-type hook, making it easier to operate the hook manually;
Surface treatment: spraying wear-resistant and anti-corrosion coating (such as epoxy zinc-rich paint) to adapt to the humid and dusty environment in the workshop and extend the service life.    

Application scenarios
Transfer of color-coated steel coils: hoist color-coated coils from the production line to the warehouse in the workshop, or hoist them from the warehouse to processing equipment such as slitting machines and slitting machines;
Lifting of galvanized coils/aluminum coils: also suitable for galvanized steel coils, aluminum coils and other coils with fragile surfaces, and the pads can be replaced according to the material (such as soft rubber pads for aluminum coils);
Lifting of paper rolls/film rolls: some lightweight C-type hooks (rated load 1-5 tons) can be used for lifting paper rolls and film rolls in paper mills and packaging plants.
