Lifting Strap for Lifting yacht in Docks

When lifting a yacht at the dock, the sling must meet three core requirements: damage prevention, high safety, and precise adaptation.

    Key Structural Design Points
    Anti-Friction and Protection
A 50mm thick ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) pad (Abstracts 5 and 9) is attached to the inside, reducing the friction coefficient by 50% and preventing scratches on the fiberglass/metal surfaces of the hull.
The edges are sealed with heat shrink tubing (Abstract 3) to prevent the sling fibers from abrading and unraveling.
    Optimized Bottom Lifting
A loop sling + pressure bar combination (Abstract 5) is used: The sling wraps around the bottom of the yacht, and the pressure bar (wood/nylon) is embedded between the sling and the hull, distributing the pressure to the keel and preventing deformation of the side.
Intelligent Adjustment Device (Abstract 4): The sling is pre-tightened using a turnbuckle to ensure uniform load on all slings before lifting (load deviation ≤ ±5%).

Common yacht slings are mainly polyester flat slings (for small and medium-sized yachts), Dyneema ring slings (for large yachts), and scratch-resistant and wear-resistant slings (for high-end yachts). When choosing, it is necessary to consider the weight of the yacht, the hull material, the operating environment (salt spray, wind and waves), and the lifting accuracy requirements, giving priority to "no damage" and "high safety factor".
